> ODU knocked off No. 13/10 Virginia Tech 49-35 on Saturday, notching several program firsts.
First win over FBS ranked opponent.
First win over ACC and power-five opponent.
Most yards allowed by a Bud Foster Virginia Tech defense

> Quarterback Blake LaRussa was named National Player of the Week after completing 30-of-49 passes for 495 yards and four touchdowns, and also rushed for a touchdown LaRussa’s 495-passing yards is the fourth most so far in FBS this season and 501-yards of total offense is the fifth most this season.

> Senior wide receiver Jonathan Duhart notched his third-straight 100-yard receiving game, tying his career-high with nine receptions and 142 yards and three touchdowns. It is the fifth time in his career Duhart has scored three touchdowns.

>Not to be outdone, senior wideout Travis Fulgham set career-highs with nine receptions for 188-yards and a score. The 188-yards is the 10th most by an FBS receiver so far this season.

> Senior running back Jeremy Cox rushed for a season-high 130-yards on 20 carries, with 99 of those coming in the second half. He scored two touchdowns, including a 40-yard run with 1:34 left to seal the win.

> Senior defensive end Oshane Ximines added two more sacks to his total to give him a Conference USA leading five on the year.

> Senior safety Sean Carter recorded a career-best 12 tackles.

LaRussa Leads the Upset
Blake LaRussa came within three-yards of throwing for the most yards ever against a Virginia Tech defense, going 30-of-49 for 495-yards and four scores. It is the fourth most passing yards by a QB this season.

Fulgham Career-Best
It was a career-best day for senior wide receiver Travis Fulgham, who had nine receptions for 188-yards and a touchdown. Fulgham now has two career 100-yard receiving games, both against ACC teams.

Ximines Sack Watch
Oshane Ximines already holds the ODU single-season and career sacks record, and he is second among active FBS players with 26 sacks. He trails fellow C-USA player, Jaylon Ferguson of Louisiana Tech.

Ximines had two more sacks and 2.5 tackles for loss in the win over Virginia Tech.
