IRVING, Texas – Old Dominon men’s soccer senior Ryan McLaughlin earned C-USA Player of the Week as announced by the league Monday afternoon. McLaughlin, a defender scored the game-tying goal in the Monarchs 2-1 win over C-USA foe, Charlotte.
Off a free kick from Sebastien Hauret, McLaughlin took to the left corner of the net, which tied up the game and switched the momentum to lead Wilschrey to the game-winning goal just four minutes later. McLaughlin's goal in the 51st minute was his first career goal for ODU.

After his key goal, McLaughlin continued to hold back the Charlotte offense at his defensive position. The 49ers were held to just two shots in the second half and handed their first loss of the season.
