NORFOLK, Va. --
The Old Dominion field hockey team takes on a pair of ranked, local opponents this weekend in No. 22 William & Mary and No. 17 James Madison. 

Old Dominion (2-0) heads to Williamsburg to take on the Tribe (0-1) on Friday at 6 p.m. ET, before returning to Norfolk to host the Dukes (1-1) in the home opener on Sunday at 12 p.m. ET.

The Monarchs have yet to allow a goal through two games, posting consecutive shutouts to open a season for the first time since 1999.

Junior forward Erin Huffman has scored the game-winning goal in both victories and leads the team with two goals. Amie Olton has also scored for ODU.

In goal, Kealsie Robles and Cam MacGillivray have each recorded a shutout.

Two of ODU's oldest rivalries, ODU leads the all-time series against W&M, 47-13, and the series with JMU, 53-12.

ABOUT #22 WILLIAM & MARY
The Tribe, ranked 22nd in the NFHCA Preseason Poll, lost to No. 3 Duke, 4-0, in their season opener. W&M returned 56 percent of its scoring from last year and six starters, and was picked third in the CAA preseason poll while a conference-best five athletes were named preseason All-CAA.

ABOUT #17 JAMES MADISON
JMU, coming in at No. 17 in the NFHCA Preseasn Poll, split its opening weekend, falling to No. 23 Liberty, 6-1, before defeating Bucknell, 3-0. Ongeziwe Mali leads the team with two goals through the first two games. The Dukes host American on Friday before making the journey to Norfolk.
