Monarchs Add Seven Freshmen and One Transfer to Lacrosse Roster

NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion lacrosse head coach Heather Holt welcomes the addition of eight newcomers, which is comprised of seven freshmen and one transfer. 

The incoming lacrosse Monarchs hail from five different states, including Pennsylvania (4), Virginia (1), Colorado (1), New York (1), and North Carolina (1).

“We are proud to welcome eight incoming players. This diverse group of athletes will provide energy and a high lacrosse skill set to each position on the field,” explained head coach Heather Holt. “I am confident that each member of this class will be a positive addition to our program not only on the field, but also in the classroom and within the ODU community.”

Haleigh Wurzel – Graduate Transfer from Mercer University

Honors: Recipient of the Kyle Kyrst Scholarship given to 1 male and 1 female lacrosse player each year who shows devotion and leadership to the sport of lacrosse.

“Amber is a gritty midfielder and skilled finisher. Her play making ability and instinct make her a threat on both ends of the field.”
