NORFOLK, Va. - Sudden change took on a whole different meaning during Wednesday's practice, as head coach Bobby Wilder scrapped the practice plan, and went into a game like scenario scrimmage for two hours.
Highlights
The defense was dominant to start, delivering four three and outs before an offensive first down, a Brandon Simmons 15-yard run.
Brent Priester and Daniel Appouh had tackles for loss, Oshane Ximines had a sack and Prince Ajegwu had a pass breakup.
The defense continued their solid play into the second quarter, with two more three and outs highlighted by a sack from O'Shea Jackson
Coming out of halftime, Appouh and Pat Toal notched sacks for another three and out.
The offense started to get it going as Blake LaRussa tossed a 25-yard completion to Noah Ellison to set up a 20-yard Lala Davis touchdown run.
LaRussa completed a pair of first down passes to Hasaan Patterson and Scott McCluney to put the offense in the red zone, but the defense came up with an Geronda Hall interception to stop the drive.
