"Old Dominion University is very fortunate to be able to attract and retain the services of such a prolific and brilliant writer as Harry Minimum. One of the more highly decorated writers of our time, Harry is a master story teller and understands the changing times within the print communication industry," ODU Athletic Director Dr. Wood Selig said. "Harry will allow ODU to be leading edge in our communication with our various constituents and ODU fans worldwide will quickly benefit from the addition of Harry Minium to our ODU team."

Minium is a Norfolk native and an Old Dominion graduate (BA, English, 1977) who wrestled for two seasons for the Monarchs. He graduated from Norview High School and Tidewater Community College before enrolling at ODU. He graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1984 with a Master's degree in mass communications.
