OAK RIDGE, Tenn. - The Old Dominion rowing team advanced one boat to the Grand Final (3V8) and three to the Petite Final (IV8, 2V8,IV4) at the Big 12 Rowing Championship in Oak Ridge, Tenn. at Melton Lake.

The Monarchs opened the day in heat two of the IV8 (7:15.610), where they were placed in the Petite Final on Sunday and will face West Virginia. In the 2V8 heat, ODU finished with a 7:31.382 time and advanced to the Petite Final and will go head to head against the Mountaineers again. Finishing with an 8:17.118 time in the IV4 heat, the Monarchs finished fourth and were placed in the Petite Final on Sunday where they will see WVU for the third-straight time.
Competing in the Grand Final on Sunday will be the 3V8 boat that finished with a 7:56.713 time on Saturday afternoon. ODU will be in lane seven competing against Kansas, Tennessee, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, and Kansas State tomorrow.
