NORFOLK, Va. -- Head coach Nikki McCray-Penson and the Old Dominion women's basketball program announced the signing of juco transfer Maggie Robinson on Tuesday, bringing the 2018 signing class to a total of eight players.
Maggie Robinson, a 6-1 forward, comes to ODU from Shelton State Community College, where she was teammates with fellow 2018 signee Ashley Scott. Robinson helped guide Shelton State, one of the nation's top juco schools, to a 36-1 record in 2017-18 and averaged 12.4 points, 7.5 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 2.0 steals. The Mobile, Alabama, native played her high school ball at Davidson High School, where she was a First Team All-State selection and participated in the Alabama North-South All-Star Game.
“Maggie immediately fills a need for us in the post," said McCray. "She brings experience, toughess and the ability to score the ball. She is also an extremely hard worker. We are excited about the immediate impact she will make.”
