MACON, Ga. -- The Old Dominion women's golf team sits in second place, eight strokes off the lead, through 36 holes at the Brickyard Collegiate, after carding a course-record-tying 285 on Monday.
The Monarchs (+11) trail only Vanderbilt (+3), who also fired a 3-under 285 on Monday.
Individually, Maggie Simmermacher (+1) finished 1-under for the day and is tied for fifth. Katerina Vlasinova (+2) sits one stroke behind Simmermacher and is ninth.
Charlotte De Corte (+6) is tied for 19th after an even round and Sana Tufail (+7) posted the best round of any Monarch with a 2-under 70. Tufail climbed 37 spots on the leaderboard is tied for 23rd.
Abigail Portyrata (+13) rounded out the ODU lineup and is tied for 48th.
The tournament concludes tomorrow with the final 18 holes. ODU tees off at 9 a.m. ET and will be paired with Vanderbilt and Kennesaw State.
