MACON, Ga. -- The Old Dominion women's golf team is tied for second place through 18 holes at the Brickyard Collegiate held at the Brickyard Country Club in Macon, Georgia.
Old Dominion (+14) sits eight shots behind 27th-ranked Vanderbilt (+6). The Monarchs are tied with Chattanooga (+14) and Virginia Tech (+14).
Individually, Maggie Simmermacher (+2) and Katerina Vlasinova (+2) paced ODU in the opening round and are both tied for 10th.
Abigail Portyrata (+4) is tied for 21st and Charlotte De Corte (+6) is tied for 34th. Sana Tufail (+9, 60th) rounded out the ODU lineup.
Play resumes tomorrow with the second of three rounds. The Monarchs tee off at 9:20 a.m. ET and will be paired with Kennesaw State and Marshall.
