NORFOLK, Va. – The No. 44 nationally ranked/No. 3 seed Old Dominion women’s tennis team (18-4) defeated No. 14 seed UTEP (6-15) by a 4-0 score on Thursday afternoon in the First Round of the C-USA Tournament at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
With the victory, ODU advances to the Quarterfinals tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. EST against the winner of (6) North Texas versus (11) UAB. Admission for the entire tournament is free for all.
The Monarchs have won 10 of their last 11 matches, outscoring opponents 61-7 during the stretch. ODU has also won seven in a row, while outscoring opponents 40-3.
