NORFOLK, Va. -- Head coach Nikki McCray-Penson and the Old Dominion women's basketball program added two more players to the 2018 Signing Class this week. The two additions bring the the total number in the class to seven.

Joining the Monarchs next season will be Hannah Sadler (Lilburn, Ga.) and Ashley Scott (Mobile, Ala.).

Hannah Sadler, a 6-3 forward, comes to ODU from Parkview High School in Georgia, where she averaged 12.6 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.5 steals per game during her senior season. As a junior, she averaged over three blocks per game. An all-around athlete, Sadler was also an accomplished soccer player in high school and her father, Al, was drafted by the MLB's San Diego Padres as a pitcher.

“We are thrilled to have Hannah join our Monarch family," said McCray. "She adds size, length and athleticism to our frontcourt. Hannah is like a sponge who is ready to learn and do whatever she can to help us establish a championship culture."

Ashley Scott, a 6-3 center, is a juco transfer from Shelton State Community College in Alabama. The Mobile native was a key post player at Shelton State, a team that posted a 36-1 record and was ranked No. 1 in the nation for a majority of last season. In high school at UMS Wright Prep, Scott recorded over 1,000 career points and 1,500 rebounds and averaged 15 points and 15 rebounds her senior year.

“We are super-excited to have Ashley join the ODU family," said McCray. "She brings a wealth of leadership and experience, which fills an immediate need in the post. She also understands a winning culture having played for one of the top jucos in the nation in Shelton State.”
