NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football began its final week of spring practice on Tuesday with the 13th practice of the spring.
The team continued the theme of the spring with situational football, working on two-minute drill, third and fourth down and goal line drills.
Steven Williams tossed a pair of touchdown passes, a 45-yarder to Kesean Strong and a 66-yard pass to Jonathan Duhart.
Following the TD passes the defense went to work as Jordan Young returned an interception 35-yards for a touchdown, while Parrish Gordon also intercepted a pass. Mufu Taiwo recovered a fumble, while Tim Ward and Daniel Appouh recorded sacks.
The ODU Spring game is set for Saturday, April 14 at 3 p.m. at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium. A full day of events are scheduled. The day starts off with the fifth annual Big Blue 1K, at 10 a.m., followed by the 5K at 10:30 a.m. Country music star Joe Nichols will take the stage on Foreman Field starting at 12:30. Nichols is the owner of several hit singles, including Sunny and 75, Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off and Brokenheartsville. Concert-goers will be able to experience the concert from field-level or on the East side stands of S.B. Ballard Stadium.
The spring game takes place at 3 p.m. followed by the Toyota Charity Bowl at 4:30 p.m. All events are free and open to the public.
