With 8 days until spring football practice, ODUSports.com takes a look at each position group for the Monarchs. Today we feature the wide receivers.
Wide Receivers
The wide receivers group returns two of its three top receivers and adds John Allen as the position coach. Allen comes to the Monarchs from Delaware State, where he was the offensive coordiator. He recently had stints as the head coach at Division II Lock Haven and Penn State.
Isaiah Harper had a breakout season for the Monarchs, catching a team-high 39 passes for 462 yards. Harper's previous high for receptions was 14.
Travis Fulgham finished third on the team with 30 catches for 394 yards and a touchdown. He had a career-best six grabs for 102 yards and a 71-yard touchdown against North Carolina.
Jonathan Duhart returns for a redshirt senior season he received after a season-ending injury in the win at UMass. Duhart caugh seven passes for 121 yards and two scores in two games. He ranks sixth in school history in receptions and yards.
Junior Hasaan Patterson returns after catching five passes for 57 yards and a touchdown, while sophomores Noah Ellison look to improve on six and two catch seasons, resptively.
ODU signed five receivers in this year's recruiting class, including Nigel Fitzgerald, who enrolled at Old Dominion in January and will participate in spring practice.
