NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University sailing took third place at the season-opening ODU Spring Women's regatta this weekend, while taking fourth place in the Georgetown Team Race.

In Norfolk, the Division A squad of Olivia Windemuller and Makalynne Dyer finished in fourth, taking one race win and seven top five finishes. The Division B team of Bridget Groble and Tori Ewing finished sixth with three top five's. Overall, the team finished in third behind Georgetown and George Washington.

At the Georgetown Team Race, the team consisted of Jeremy Herrin, Jack Elkin, AJ Jacob, Carter Little, Gavin Burkhart and Emily Harrison. ODU finished 2-3 to finish in fourth, defeating Penn and SUNY Maritime.

ODU will compete in a trio of races next weekend, including the College of Charleston and Navy Spring races, as well as the John Jackson Team Race.
