NORFOLK, Va. --
Following its weekend trip to Miami, Old Dominion returns to Norfolk to host William & Mary in midweek action on Wednesday at 6 p.m. at the Bud Metheny Complex.

Old Dominion (9-13, 2-4 C-USA) is 3-1 in midweek games so far this season, with the lone loss coming at No. 18 East Carolina.

The Monarchs went 1-2 against FIU in Miami, where all three games were decided by one run. Dating back to the Florida Atlantic series, the Monarchs have played four consecutive one-run games.

Offensively, ODU is hitting .295 as a club, which ranks 30th in the nation and third in Conference USA. A total of six Monarchs are hitting over .300, led by Erik Stock (.364, 1 HR, 7 RBI) and Matt Schwarz (.337, 13 RBI, 5 SB). Preseason All-C-USA selection Vinnie Pasquantino (.309, 3 HR, 22 RBI) has been the top producer.

On the mound, freshman southpaw Trey Fisher (0-0, 7.71 ERA) is expected to make his first career start for ODU. Right-hander Nick Butts (0-1, 6.61 ERA) is projected to start for William & Mary (8-16, 0-3 CAA).

ODU leads the all-time series against the Tribe, 83-52, and swept the season series last year. The Monarchs have not lost to William & Mary at home since 2011.
