NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University football completed its third practice of the spring on Saturday morning.
For the first time this spring, ODU donned shoulder pads after only wearing helmets for the first two practices due to NCAA rules.
ODU added inside run drills and combo blocking drills to practice, along with 7 on 7 and team drills.
In team drills, the defense forced a pair of turnovers, including a Marcus Haynes forced fumble that was recovered by Elijah Blue, and a Ryan Londree fumble recovery in the end zone for a touchdown.
The offense was led by its ground attack, as Gemonta Jackson and Brandon Sinclair delivered big runs. In a goal line drill at the end of practice, Jackson, Kesean Strong and Brandon Simmons all rushed for touchdowns.
