NORFOLK, Va. – Aziz Kijametovic of the Old Dominion men’s tennis team was named the Conference USA Athlete of the Week for the third time this season. No other player has earned the award more than once this season.
No. 109 Kijametovic (Zivinice, Bosnia & Herzegovina) won both his singles matches in straight sets in the No. 2 slot against No. 26 Harvard and No. 14 Dartmouth. Against Dartmouth, he downed the No. 101 ranked payer in the country 7-5, 7-5. Kijametovic helped the Monarchs stun No. 14 Dartmouth by a 4-1 score. In doubles, Kijametovic and teammate Adam Moundir upset the No. 17 ranked tandem in the land, 7-5. Aziz is now 10-2 in singles play so far this season.
