NORFOLK, Va. --
The Old Dominion women's basketball team concludes the regular season with a road trip at Charlotte and Middle Tennessee this week. The Monarchs take on Charlotte on Thursday at 5 p.m. ET and then Middle Tennessee on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.

With a win in either game, the Monarchs (8-20, 6-8 C-USA) clinch a spot in next week's Conference USA Tournament in Frisco, Texas. ODU can also clinch if FIU loses to either UTEP or Southern Miss.

ODU is coming off of a heart-breaking 55-52 loss to North Texas in its lone game last week. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for the Monarchs, their longest of the season.

Individually, guards Victoria Morris and MaKayla Timmons are both averaging double figures in conference play at 11.0 and 10.9 points per game, respectively. Senior Kelly Loftus is also playing her best ball of the season and is averaging 16.5 points in the last four games.

The Monarchs lead the all-time series against Charlotte, 14-7, despite the 49ers pulling out a narrow 63-60 victory earlier this season in Norfolk.

Against Middle, ODU trails the all-time series, 5-2. However, the last time the Monarchs played in Murfreesboro, Timmons sunk a game-winning, buzzer-beating three to give ODU a 61-58 victory in 2015-16.

ABOUT CHARLOTTE
Charlotte (12-15, 8-6 C-USA) is in the running for a top-four seed in the C-USA Tournament and therefore a first-round bye. The 49ers possess a well-balanced offense, as four players average double figures in scoring led by veteran point guard Laia Raventos at 14.4 points per game.

ABOUT MIDDLE TENNESSEE
Middle Tennessee (17-11, 9-6 C-USA) is also battling for that first-round bye. The Lady Raiders have won three of their last five and are 8-4 at home this season. Preseason All-C-USA selection Alex Johnson, who missed the first half of the season due to injury, leads the team with 12.2 points per game.
