DOVER, Del. – Three Old Dominion wrestlers in Noah Bushman, Shane Jones, and Kevin Budock placed in the National Collegiate Open on Sunday, Feb. 25 held at Dover High School in Dover, Delaware.

Finishing in fifth-place, true freshman Noah Bushman went 4-2 on Sunday. Bushman won his fifth-place match by pin over unattached Michael Gallagher. The Virginia native started the day with a loss by decision to Oklahoma’s Jake Woodley. Bushman went three straight with a forfeit over Bryan Cosgrove, and two wins over Charlie Cohen of Princeton, Tyler Johnson of NC State.
Competing at 165, Shane Jones took a fifth-place finish at the National Collegiate Open. Jones went 4-2 and won three-straight by decision to start off his day. The redshirt sophomore lost two in a row before winning his fifth-place bout by forfeit.
Wrestling unattached, Kevin Budock finished in sixth-place at 149-pounds. The sophomore went 5-2 and opened the day with a win by tech. fall over Elijah Murray of American. Budock then lost his next bout by decision against AJ Leitten of NC State. The sophomore continued to win four and lost one en route to his sixth-place finish.
