HANOVER, N.H. – After dropping the doubles point, the No. 46 Old Dominion men’s tennis team went on to win four singles matches, all in straight sets, to stun No. 14 Dartmouth at Boss Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.

“What a day for the program,” said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “To beat the number 14 team in the country on their courts without dropping a singles set is special. But our guys earned it. They kept working hard after a tough stretch and pushed each other hard in practice. We can’t wait to get back home against another Top 40 team in Utah.”

With the victory, the Monarchs improved to 7-5 on the season, while the Big Green dipped to 12-2.

ODU will return home for a March 2 match with No. 37 Utah at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. This will be the Monarchs final match before beginning the Spring Break Tournament on March 9, in Tampa, Florida. Then on March 16, ODU will face Conference USA opponent Middle Tennessee in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. That same weekend, the Monarchs are scheduled to face two more C-USA opponents in FAU and Charlotte, respectively.
