PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 40 Old Dominion women’s tennis (9-3) proved to be too much for Penn (5-5) on Saturday, as the Monarchs took down the Quakers by a 7-0 score at the Hamlin/Hecht Tennis Center.
“I’m proud of our coaches and players,” said ODU head coach Dominic Manilla. “We will keep pushing and improving this next week in preparation for our upcoming road trip against conference rival, Marshall, and Big 10 foe, West Virginia.”
The Monarchs will next travel to Huntington, W.V. to take on Conference USA opponent Marshall on Saturday, March 3. ODU will then be back in action the following day when they face West Virginia at 10:00 a.m. EST. Old Dominion begins their final home-stand of the season Friday, March 9, when Virginia Tech comes to town. That is the first of seven straight home matches for the Monarchs. The 2018 Conference USA Tournament, which begins on April 19, will also take place at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center in Norfolk, Va. this year.
