NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion men’s tennis team (5-2) won five of six singles matches en route to a 5-2 victory over Louisiana Lafayette (6-5) on Saturday at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
“For some reason we were flat in doubles today,” said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “Not sure if the cloudy weather caused it, but we didn’t show the same energy we had throughout the year so far. But we had an amazing response in singles. Coming out and winning every first set and winning five matches in straight sets against a good team is nice to see. I think we are ready for tomorrow and will make some adjustments for South Carolina.”
Old Dominion will welcome the No. 25 ranked team in the country, South Carolina (7-1), tomorrow, Sunday, Feb. 11 at 11:00 a.m. at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center. Admission to all home ODU matches is FREE.
