NORFOLK, Va. --
The Old Dominion women's basketball team heads to the Lone Star State for a pair of Conference USA games this weekend.

Old Dominion (2-14, 0-3 C-USA) takes on North Texas on Thursday at 8 p.m. ET and then travels to San Antonio to take on UTSA on Saturday at 8 p.m. ET.

Both games will be streamed on CUSA.tv and can also be heard locally on Famous 1310 AM radio.

The road trip to Texas will be the Monarchs' first games away from The Ted since before Christmas, when ODU traveled to Las Vegas for the Holiday Hoops Classic Dec. 21-22.

Last week, ODU opened C-USA play with a pair of tough losses to UAB and Charlotte at The Ted. Despite opening the conference slate 0-2, the Monarchs averaged 60 points per game during their first two C-USA games, over six points more than they averaged in non-conference play.

Junior point guard MaKayla Timmons paced the Monarchs during the opening weekend of conference play, averaging 17.5 points and 6.0 assists.

Overall, freshman Victoria Morris leads the team in scoring with 12.7 points per game and has reached double figures in all but two games. Odegua Oigbokie is also averaging double figures with 11.5 points and also leads the team in rebounding with 6.1 boards per game.

ODU leads the all-time series against North Texas, 6-2, and split the season series with the Mean Green last season. The series between ODU and UTSA is tied 3-3.

ABOUT NORTH TEXAS
North Texas (5-9, 0-2 C-USA) opened conference play with a pair of closes losses to LA Tech and Rice last week. The Mean Green are stout defensively, holding opponents to 51 points per game and forcing 21 turnovers per game. Preseason All-C-USA selection Terriell Bradley leads the team in scoring with 16.9 points per game.

ABOUT UTSA
UTSA (2-13, 0-3 C-USA) opened its conference slate with three straight losses, falling on the road to LA Tech and Rice and at home to Middle Tennessee. The Roadrunners' lone wins so far this season have come over Sul Ross State and Mississippi Valley State. Crystal Chidomere and Marie Benson both average over 13 points per game to lead UTSA offensively.
