NORFOLK, Va. -- 
The Old Dominion women's basketball team, riding a two-game winning streak, heads to LA Tech and Rice this weekend in Conference USA action.

Old Dominion (4-16, 2-4 C-USA) won consecutive games for the first time this season last weekend, defeating Marshall and UTSA at The Ted. 

Taylor Edwards, who is nearly averaging a double-double in the last four games, led ODU with a career-high 19 points and 12 rebounds in the win over UTSA, while Ashley Jackson poured in a career-high 20 points in the victory over Marshall.

Overall, Victoria Morris and Odegua Oigbokie lead the team in scoring with 11 points per game. In C-USA play, MaKayla Timmons has been the catalyst of the Monarch offense and is averaging 13 points and four assists through the first six conference contests.

Defensively, the Monarchs have held their opponent under 65 points in five straight games. On the boards, ODU has outrebounded their opponent in six of the last eight games.

LA Tech leads the all-time series against ODU, 16-8. However, the Monarchs have won their last two in Ruston.

Against Rice, ODU leads the all-time series, 7-1.

ABOUT LA TECH
LA Tech (12-7, 3-3 C-USA) enters Friday having lost three of its last four games. Last weekend, the Lady Techsters fell on the road to FIU and Florida Atlantic. Post player Alexus Malone averages a team-high 13.6 points and 8.7 rebounds, while preseason All-C-USA selection Kierra Anthony averages 12.7 points.

ABOUT RICE
Rice (14-3, 4-1 C-USA) is 6-0 at home and 9-1 overall in its last 10 games. The Owls' lone loss during that stretch was a 68-58 loss at FIU last week. Sophomore transfer Erica Ogwumike leads the team with 17.3 points and 9.2 rebounds. Defensively, Rice is holding opponents to under 58 points per game.
