Swimming and Diving Falls on Senior Day to William and Mary

NORFOLK, Va. – Ashley Brem and Nick Wukovits each won two events to lead Old Dominion University swimming and diving against William and Mary on Saturday afternoon, but the Tribe defeated the women, 183-111, while the men lost 184-110.

Ethan Apisa picked up ODU’s first win of the day with an ODU pool record time of 9:26.58.

Brem picked up her first win of the day with a time of 1:04.37 in the 100 breaststroke and was followed by Nick Wukovits winning the men’s 100 breaststroke in 55.70.

AJ Caruso won the women’s 3-meter dive with a score of 202.80, while Cory Moreno won the men’s 3-meter dive with a score of 276.00.

Jacklyn VandePoel won the 200 backstroke with a time of 2:04.13.

Brem and Wukovits won the 200 breaststroke, as Brem won with a time of 2:22.97, while Wukovits won with a time of 2:01.36, eight seconds ahead of second place.

ODU honored 13 seniors prior to the meet, including Leigh-Ann Clark, Kylie Cuomo, Mary Escobar, Hannah Kristan, Elena Oujikanova, Chandler Shirer, Sofie Sjoberg, Ashley Teller, Lucas Cortini, Brant Knoblauch, Anton Mikaelsson, Cory Moreno and Donovan Pope.
