NORFOLK, Va. - The Old Dominion men’s basketball team (9-3, 0-0 C-USA) will host Charlotte (4-7, 0-0 C-USA) for the Conference USA opener on Saturday, Dec. 30 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ted Constant Convocation Center. The game will air on ESPN3. ODU is currently riding a four-game winning streak.

MEET CHARLOTTE
Houston Fancher, who is in his third season on the Charlotte 49ers coaching staff, has been named interim head coach for the rest of the 2017-18 season. Before joining the Charlotte 49ers coaching staff, Fancher had 12 years’ experience as a college head coach including nine years as Appalachian State’s head coach.

The 49ers enter Saturday’s contest with a 4-7 overall record, losing five of their last six games. Charlotte is led by Jon Davis’ 13.0 points per game, while Andrien White averages 12.5 ppg.
