RICHMOND, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s basketball team (5-2, 0-0 C-USA) will travel to Richmond for a Saturday night showdown against VCU at the Siegel Center at 7:00 p.m. The game will air on MASN.

MEET VCU
The Rams enter Saturday’s contest with a 4-3 record, after wins over Grambling State (94-65), North Florida (95-85) California (83-69) and Appalachian State (85-72). VCU’s has lost to Virginia (76-67), Marquette (94-83) and Michigan (68-60).

Virginia Commonwealth is coached by Mike Rhoades, who is in the midst of his first season at the helm in Richmond. A former VCU assistant coach and associate head coach under Shaka Smart from 2009-14, Rhoades spent the past three seasons in Conference USA as the head coach at Rice.

Five Rams are averaging double-figures so far this season: Justin Tillman (13.7 ppg/7.6 rpg), DeRiante Jenkins (13.0 ppg/4.3 rpg), Isaac Vann (12.5 ppg/4.5 rpg), Khris Lane (11.9 ppg, 4.7 rpg) and Jonathan Williams (11.6 ppg/2.9 rpg).
