IRVING, Texas -- Old Dominion guard Victoria Morris has been named the Conference USA Freshman of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Morris averaged 10.0 points, 2.0 rebounds and 3.0 assists in three games for the Monarchs this past week.
Against ACC foes NC State and No. 16 Duke, Morris scored 15 points in both games, connecting for a combined eight threes in those contests. Morris also notched season highs in rebounds (5) and assists (3) against the Blue Devils.
For the season, Morris is tied for the team lead in scoring at 11.3 points per game and opened her collegiate career with five consecutive double-figure scoring games. The Cincinnati native is averaging 2.7 threes per game, which leads the team and ranks fourth in C-USA.
