Monarchs Return Home to Host UMES on Monday Night at 7PM

NORFOLK, Va. – The Old Dominion men’s basketball team (4-2, 0-0 C-USA) will welcome Maryland Eastern Shore (2-4, 0-0 MEAC) to the Ted Constant Convocation Center on Monday, Nov. 27 at 7:00 p.m. The game will be streamed on C-USA TV. Monday night will mark the first home game for ODU since the 2017-18 regular season opening night victory against Towson (57-54) on Nov. 10.

LAST TIME OUT FOR OLD DOMINION
B.J. Stith is coming off a career night, scoring a career and game-high 26 points on 11-12 shooting from the floor and 4-5 shooting from deep, to go along with five rebounds and two assists in a 79-77 heartbreaking loss to William & Mary. On Saturday night at Kaplan Arena, a Randy Haynes tip-in gave ODU a 77-76 lead with 1.4 seconds remaining in regulation, but W&M’s Oliver Tot sank a half-court buzzer beater to lift the Tribe over the Monarchs in the 89th all-time meeting between the two schools.

Randy Haynes finished with 14 points, six rebounds and three assists. Ahmad Caver went for 13 points and career and game-high 10 assists and two steals. Brandan Stith scored 12 points, hauled down five boards and had two steals. Trey Porter also scored in double figures, going for 10 points and two blocks. For the game, Old Dominion shot 61.1% (33-54) from the floor.

MEET UMES
Bobby Collins is in the midst of his fourth season as head coach as the Hawks look to build on their best season since his inaugural campaign in 2014-15 when the team won 18 games and played in the CIT, their first postseason tournament since 1981. The Hawks return four starters from a year ago.
