LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Old Dominion University men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams each finished in fifth place at the Buckenell Invitational over the weekend.

After day one the women were in fifth, while the men were in sixth place.

In the 13th event of the weekend, the women took fifth in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:44.78. The team consisted of Elena Adcock, Ashley Brem, Nikia Campbell and Sofie Sjoberg.

The men’s foursome of Anton Mikaelsson, Peter Durisin, Filip Svedberg and Parker Harp finished in second with a time of 1:30.67, just .01 behind the winner, LaSalle.

Emilie Petit placed third for the women in the 400 IM with a time of 4:27.20.

For the men, sophomore Nick Wukovits won the 400 IM with a time of 3:57.24, while Mikaelsson finished in third place.

In the men’s 100 butterfly, Svedberg swam to a second place spit in a time of 48.87.

In the women’s 100 breaststroke, Brem finished in second just .16 seconds behind the winner, Molly Fitzpatrick of Georgetown, with a time of 1:01. 81.

Peter Durisin was victorious for the Monarchs in the men’s 100 breaststroke with a time of 54.95.

Ethan Apisa continued his first place finishes, taking the top spot in the 1650 freestyle with a time of 15:47.84, seven seconds ahead of second place finisher, also from ODU, Graydon Tinneny who finished in 15:54.45.

Sofie Sjoberg picked up a second place finish in the 100 freestyle with a time of 50.86.

Brem notched a second place finish in the 200 breaststroke with a time of 2:13.80, just.43 off of first place.

Wukovits added to his first place collection with a win in the 200 breaststroke in a time of 1:59.34, edging out teammate Durisin by .28 seconds.
