NORFOLK, Va. -- Following a two-game roadstand, the Old Dominion women's basketball team returns home to host NC State on Monday at 7 p.m. at the Ted Constant Center.
Old Dominion (0-3) enters Monday on a three-game losing streak, the most losses for ODU to start a season since 2011-12, when the Monarchs lost their first four games of the season.
True freshman guard Victoria Morris leads the team in scoring with 12.7 points per game and has reached double figures in all three games to start her collegiate career. In addition, the senior duo of Ashley Jackson and Odegua Oigbokie are both averaging over 10 points per game.
In the Monarchs' last game, a 79-68 loss to St. Francis in the Preseason WNIT, head coach Nikki McCray-Penson received several standout performances, including career highs in scoring from guards Taylor Edwards and MaKayla Timmons, while true freshman Dejah Carter hauled in a career-high seven rebounds.
The Wolfpack lead the all-time series against ODU, 20-14. The teams last met in 2010, when NC State pulled out a close 62-60 victory over the Monarchs in Raleigh.
