LEWISBURG, Pa. - Ashley Brem won the 200 IM while the Old Dominion University men's squad won the 400 medley relay in the first night of the Bucknell Invitational Friday night.

ODU started Friday night with a fifth place finish in the 200 freestyle relay in a time of 1:35.74. The team consisted of Sofie Sjoberg, Leigh Ann Clark, Nikia Campbell and Ashley Brem.

The men's squad started their day with a third place finish in the 200 free relay, as Anton Mikaelsson, Conner Davis, Filip Svedberg and Parker Harp finished in a time of 1:23.28.

In the first individual event of the night, freshman Ethan Apisa recorded a third place in the 500 freestyle in a time of 4:35.27.

Junior Ashley Brem notched a win for the Lady Monarchs in the 200 IM in a time of 2:02.94. Later in the event, Brem finished in fourth place in the 50 freestyle in a time of 23.75.

In the men's 200 IM, Mikaelsson came in fourth in a time of 1:49.85.

In the final event of the day, the men's team of Mikaelsson, Peter Durisin, Svedberg and Harp won the 400 medley relay in a time of 3:18.38.

After the first day, the women are in fifth place with 195 points, while the men sit in sixth place with 240 points.
