NORFOLK, Va. --
The Old Dominion women's basketball team plays at George Mason on Friday at 2:30 p.m. in the consolation bracket of the Preseason WNIT.

Old Dominion (0-1) and George Mason (1-1) both fell in the opening round of the Preseason WNIT last week, with ODU falling to Liberty, 63-55, and GMU falling to No. 23 Michigan, 75-61. Friday's contest is part of a four-team consolation pod that also includes Southeast Missouri State and St. Francis (PA).

The Monarchs and the Patriots squared off as CAA foes for nearly three decades, with ODU leading the all-time series, 50-2. Friday's game will mark the first time the teams have met since both schools left the CAA in 2013.

In the season-opening loss to Liberty, Odegua Oigbokie scored 14 points, one shy of her career high, on 6-of-9 shooting to lead the team, while true freshman Victoria Morris added 10 points. The Monarchs outscored Liberty, 37-30, in the second half and outrebounded the Flames, 15-8, in the final two quarters.

Following Friday's contest, the Monarchs will take on either Southeast Missouri State or St. Francis (PA) on Saturday at 12 p.m. in a neutral-site game at George Mason. More details will be posted on Saturday's game late Friday evening.
