FIRST MEETING

> For the first time since joining Conference USA in 2014, Old Dominion will play North Texas. The Monarchs play NT on Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET on ESPN3.

> ODU is coming off a 35-31 setback to WKU, while North Texas lost 69-31 at Florida Atlantic.

> Old Dominion Head Coach Bobby Wilder is 69-35 all-time.

> In his first start since returning from an injury in the season-opener, senior running back Ray Lawry carried 27 times for 166-yards and three touchdowns against WKU. The 166-yards is the ninth most in a game for the Monarchs. He also caught two passes for 14 yards.

> True freshman Steven Williams Jr. completed 17-of-25 passes for 180 yards and threw three interceptions. Williams also rushed for a career-best 45-yards.

> Isaiah Harper and Melvin Vaughn continued to lead the way for the receivers, each catching four passes. Harper caught four passes for 55-yards, while Vaughn had four catches for 33-yards.

> A week after making his first career catch, walk-on redshirt freshman Kevin Todd made two catches for 28-yard against WKU.

> Safety Denzel Williams tied his career-high with 13 tackles, two tackles for loss and a pass breakup against WKU.

> Junior defensive end Oshane Ximines had six tackles, two tackles for loss, a sack and two forced fumbles.

Oshane Ximines Ximines passed teammate Bunmi Rotimi for the ODU all-time sacks record. Ximines has a sack in 6-of-7 games this season. He is tied for 11th in the FBS in sacks.

Rotimi missed two games with a knee injury. He returned against Marshall and made three tackles and blocked a field goal. Rotimi had four tackles and half a sack last week against WKU

Denzel Williams Breaks Out
Sophomore safety Denzel Williams has started the last six games and has become a tackling machine. Williams has managed double-digit tackles in three of those games. He
recorded a career-best 13 stops two weeks ago against FAU. Williams leads the team with 62 tackles.

First-Time Starter
Redshirt freshman cornerback Joe Joe Headen made his first career start against WKU, recording his first career
interception. Headen has played in all seven games this season, registering 14 tackles and a team-best four pass breakups.

Headen graduated from Bishop McDevitt High School in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. His father, Joe Headen, is the head coach at local rival, Susquehanna Township.
