NORFOLK, Va. – Holly Hutchinson of the Old Dominion women’s tennis team will enter the fall season nationally ranked No. 58 according to the first Intercollegiate Tennis Association rankings.
"I'm proud of Holly,” said ODU head coach Dominic Manilla. “She sets goals for herself and does everything she can to achieve them. As a coach, that is all you can ask for."

Hutchinson (Middlesex, England), the 2017 Conference USA Freshman of the Year, was nationally ranked in singles all year and was also the highest ranked freshman in the C-USA for the entire season. She was named to the All Conference USA First Team for singles and All-Conference Second Team for doubles. In the fall, she defeated the No. 11 nationally ranked singles player, Sydney Campbell, of Vanderbilt.
Hutchinson's highest singles ranking was No. 57, according to the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA). She played No. 1 and No. 2 singles during her freshman season and compiled a 10-5 record. The Middlesex, England-native was 4-4 at the No. 1 position and 6-1 at No. 2 position. Hutchinson finished the year nationally ranked No. 101.
