NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University Football practiced in soggy conditions on Tuesday, Aug. 8 for the second practice of fall camp at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex practice fields.
A steady diet of rain throughout practice had the Monarchs working on ball security in the second workout of the fall. The practice was also the first opportunity to work on team drills as well. The defense held strong as the offense put together some scoring opportunites, as Blake LaRussa completed a 20-yard pass to Ray Lawry, while Jordan Hoy tossed a 25-yard touchdown pass to Scott McCluney.
The Monarchs will put on the shoulder pads for the first time in camp tomorrow.
The Monarchs open the season at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 2 against Albany at 6 p.m.
