NORFOLK, Va. - Under the lights at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium, Old Dominion University practiced for the final time in fall camp Saturday night during Fan Appreciation Night.
In front of a solid crowd in the stands, the Monarchs scrimmage started with a turnover by the defense as Daniel Appouh recovered a fumble.
Jordan Hoy tossed a 60-yard touchdown pass to Gemonta Jackson and then a 33-yarder to Marques Little.
Oshane Ximines registered a sack for the defense, while Justin Noye and Lawrence Holley intercepted passes.
Drayton Arnold tossed a 50-yard touchdown pass to Darrell Brown for the final score of the night.
Following the scrimmage, the fans were able to come onto the field, watch the 2017 intro video and run out of the tunnel. Afterwards player and coaches were available for autographs and photos.
Special Moment
Before the scrimmage, redshirt freshman linebacker Demetrius Stitmon was awarded a scholarship. Head Coach Bobby Wilder brought Stitmon's mother, Leslie, onto the field to tell the Suffolk Native.

The Monarchs open the regular season on Saturday, Sept. 2 at 6 p.m. against Albany.
