COLUMBUS, Ohio -- The Old Dominion women's golf team wrapped up the second round of the 2017 NCAA Columbus Regional in 14th place, just one stroke behind No. 44 Houston. Individually, Charlotte De Corte (+7) continues to lead the Monarchs, as the sophomore fired an even 72 and currently sits in a tie for 22nd place.
Fourth-ranked Florida (+14) holds a narrow lead heading into the final round of the tournament over No. 29 Ohio State (+15) and No. 5 Florida State (+21). The Monarchs moved up from 17th to 14th on day two, as they shot 9-over in round two. ODU is just one stroke behind No. 44 Houston, which sits in 13th.
Individually, De Corte (+7) fired an even 72 in round two, making a jump from 43rd place all the way up to 22nd at the conclusion of round two. Maggie Simmermacher (+12) is in 53rd and Sana Tufail (+14) is in 61st through two rounds.
The Monarchs are back in action for the third and final round of the tournament beginning at 8:24 a.m. ET Wednesday.
