NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University Football practice for the third time this spring on Wednesday morning, and the first time with shoulder pads.
The team continued the same format of practice, working on special teams, while adding in team drills throughout the practice. The top highlights from practice featured a 98-yard touchdown pass from Blake LaRussa to Jonathan Duhart, while Denzel Williams registered an interception for the defense.

About the Tar Heels
Larry Fedora returns for his sixth season as head coach of UNC. Fedora guided UNC to their first ever ACC Championship game appearance in 2015. Before his time at UNC, Fedora coached Southern Miss to a CUSA title in 2011 during a 12-win season.
The Tar Heels went 8-5 last season in 2016.
UNC graduated several of their top offensive players, but just announced that offensive lineman Khaliel Rodgers will transfer as a graduate transfer from USC. The top returning running back is Jordon Brown who rushed for 45 yards and one touchdown for the Tar Heels.
Austin Proehl and Thomas Jackson combined for 60 receptions for 783 yards and 7 touchdown receptions.
Cole Holcomb is the squads leading returning tackler, as he finished with 115 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and one sack. Malik Carney, who notched 5.5 sacks last season, returns as well.
