IRVING, Texas – No. 50 nationally rankedAdam Moundir of the Old Dominion men’s tennis team was one of six student-athletes from the conference to be named to the 2017 InTouch Credit Union C-USA Men's Tennis All-Academic Team on Tuesday afternoon.
Moundir possesses a 3.41 cumulative GPA as a Management and Marketing double-major. He has also been named to C-USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll twice, as well as been a Dean’s List recipient three-times throughout his collegiate career.
This season, Moundir (Luzern, Switzerland) has achieved a national singles ranking as high as No. 18, a doubles ranking as high as No. 35, all while leading ODU to a season-high ranking of No. 25. Moundir is 14-4 in singles play this year, while playing in the No. 1 slot for the Monarchs.
Conference USA's commitment to excellence, both on the tennis courts and in the classroom, continues to show. Honorees are voted on by the league’s sports information directors for tennis and must hold a minimum 3.2 GPA and have competed in at least 75 percent of their team's scheduled matches.

The No. 49 nationally ranked Old Dominion (17-5) earned the No. 2 seed for the 2017 Conference USA Tournament and will take on No. 7 seed UAB (10-11) in the Quarterfinals on Friday, April 21 at 11:00 a.m. EST. Middle Tennessee will host the three-day single-elimination event at the Adams Tennis Center in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.
