NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University Football began its third week of spring practice Monday morning at the L.R. Field Sports Complex practice fields.
Practice number 11 was a full padded practice that last just over an hour. The Monarchs headed over after practice to help out at the annual Little Feet Meet Special Olympics.

The Monarchs host Charlotte in their ninth game of the season on Saturday, Nov. 04.
About the 49ers
Brad Lambert returns for his fourth year in charge of Charlotte’s program. Before Charlotte, Lambert spent ten years at Wake Forest as an assistant and defensive coordinator.
Charlotte went 4-8 last season, collecting wins against Elon, FAU, Marshall and Southern Miss.
The 49ers return two quarterbacks who both saw game time last season. Hasaan Klugh completed 120-of-224 passes for 1,356 yards and ten touchdowns. Kevin Olsen completed 87-of-175 for 842 yards and 6 touchdowns. Running back Robert Washington carried the ball 97 times for 489 yards and five touchdowns.
T.L. Ford and Workpeh Kofa combined for 63 receptions for 759 yards and 9 touchdown receptions.
Karrington King is the squads leading returning tackler, as he finished with 73 tackles, 5.0 tackles for loss and two sacks. Ed Rolle had three interceptions last season.

ODU leads 2-0
ODU defeated Charlotte 52-17 last season behind three rushing touchdowns from Jeremy Cox. In 2015, the Monarchs defeated Charlotte 37-34, needing a late touchdown from David Washington to Zach Pascal to seal the win for ODU.
