NORFOLK, Va. - Old Dominion University Football completed their seventh practice of the spring Wednesday morning at the L.R. Hill Sports Complex practice fields.
The Monarchs practiced in uppers (shoulder pads and helmets) as they prepare for the annual spring game on Saturday, April 15 at 3 p.m. The spring game is free and open to the public.
The highlights of the practice this morning featured a 45-yard completion from Blake LaRussa to Marques Little, that moved the offense inside the 10-yardline, and also an interception from cornerback, Joe Joe Headen.

About the Thundering Herd
Doc Holiday returns for his eighth season as head coach at Marshall. Holiday has led Marshall to two CUSA division titles and one Conference title. Holiday has won four bowl games in his seven years at Marshall and boasts three 10 plus win seasons.
The Thundering Herd went 3-9 last season, collecting wins over Morgan State, FAU and Middle Tennessee.
Marshall return quarterback Chase Litton who completed 231-of-371 passed for 2,612 yards and 21 touchdowns passes.
Returning running backs Keion Davis and Anthony Anderson combined for 199 carries for 803 yards and eight touchdowns.
Ryan Yurachek leads returning receivers with 28 receptions for 298 yards and five touchdowns receptions.
Kendall Gant is the squads leading returning tackler, as he finished with 77 tackles and 3.0 tackles for loss last season. Ryan Bee had 4.5 sacks last season.

The Monarchs defeated Marshall last season 38-14 last season behind 209 yards on the ground from Ray Lawry and David Washington’s three touchdown passes. In 2015, Marshall defeated ODU 27-7 behind two touchdown passes from Chase Litton. In 2014, the Monarchs fell to Marshall 56-14 in their first ever meeting.
