MACON, Ga. -- Katerina Vlasinova is tied for second place out of 84 golfers through two rounds at the Brickyard Collegiate hosted by Mercer in Macon, Georgia. As a team, the Monarchs are in eighth place out of 15 teams heading into tomorrow's third and final round.
Vlasinova fired a two-under 70 in the opening round and followed up with a 75 in round two to land in a second place tie through two rounds. Vlasinova (+1) is just one stroke behind first place golfer Haylee Harford from Furman (E).
Charlotte De Corte (+5) is in 20th place through two rounds after shooting a 76 in round one and a 73 in round two, while Sana Tufail (+9) is in 34th place.
As a team, the Monarchs are tied for second in par five scoring average (5.00) and have sunk 24 birdies, the third-most of all 15 teams.
Vlasinova leads the entire field of 84 golfers in par five scoring average (4.50) and leads all participants with nine birdies.
