Addison, Duhart, Rotimi, Ximines Named 2017 Football Captains

NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University Football Head Coach Bobby Wilder announced today that Brandon Addison, Jonathan Duhart, Bunmi Rotimi and Oshane Ximines will be ODU’s 2017 team captains.

“These guys have really represented our aim high philosophy, all four have been key players for us. Not only are they good leaders but productive players,” Wilder said.

Addison led the Monarchs defense last season with 10 pass breakups, including a single-game ODU record with five in the win over Marshall. Addison also owns the ODU career record with 21 breakups.

Duhart is ODU’s leading returning receiver from 2016, as he caught 48 passes for 735 yards and tied for the team-high with nine touchdowns. For his career, he has 102 catches for 1,498 yards and 17 touchdown catches.

Rotimi heads into his senior campaign tied for the ODU career record with 13.5 sacks. Last season he had 44 tackles with 10 tackles for loss and seven sacks.

Ximines set the Monarchs’ single-season record with 7.5 sacks last season, while adding 11.5 tackles for loss and 42 total stops.
