FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. -- The Old Dominion men's golf team wrapped up the first day of the inaugural Fort Lauderdale Intercollegiate in a tie for third place, while David Langley and Antonio Cruz-Conde shined on the first day individually in second and fifth place, respectively.
As a team, ODU heads into the final day of the event tied for third place with FGCU (+18). Seton Hall is in first place (+6) while Richmond is in second (+14).
Langley fired an even 72 in rounds one and two, and currently sits in a three-way tie for second place, while Cruz-Conde shot 73-72 (+1) for the day and is in a three-way tie for fifth place.
Calvin Greschner is in a tie for 21st place (+7), while Michael Bakker is in 32nd (+10). Chad Hess enters day three in 54th place (+15).
After day one, Cruz-Conde leads the entire field of participants with the lowest par three scoring average (2.75), while Langley recorded the second-best par four average (3.95).
