NORFOLK, Va. – Old Dominion University spring football practice will start on Saturday, April 1 and run through April 22, ODU Head Coach Bobby Wilder announced on Friday. The Monarchs will host the annual spring game at Foreman Field at S.B. Ballard Stadium on Saturday, April 15 at 3 p.m.
“We are excited to get back on the practice field April 1after the completion of our eight week workout program. Our current 92 players have made tremendous progress with their workouts. They have been focused on the process of making the individual improvements necessary for our team to improve,” Wilder said. “As we have developed depth by red-shirting the past few years, we have developed competition at every position on our team. We will focus on competing and improving our overall team during our 15 practices.”
Wilder and the Monarchs are coming off of a 10-3 season and 24-20 win over Eastern Michigan in the Popeyes Bahamas Bowl. ODU returns 16 starters from last season’s team, including leading returning rusher, Ray Lawry, and sack record holders Bunmi Rotimi and Oshane Ximines.
