NORFOLK, Va. -- Jennie Simms and Destinee Young have both accepted invitations to participate in the 2017 ProHoops Combine in Dallas on April 1 at Moody Coliseum on the campus of SMU.

The ProHoops Combine is an invitation-only combine to give the top college seniors in women's basketball an opportunity to be evaluated by WNBA coaches and general managers, foreign coaches and agents before the draft to be held on April 13.

Simms, a guard from Accokeek, Maryland, was the nation's second-leading scorer in 2016-17, averaging a school record 26.0 points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.3 assists and was one of just two players in the country to average 20+ points, 8+ rebounds and 4+ assists. The Conference USA Player of the Year, Simms earned her third straight First Team All-C-USA honor, becoming just the 10th player in school history to earn three first team all-conference accolades. ODU's fifth all-time leading scorer in program history with 2,151 points, Simms became the sixth Lady Monarch to join the 2,000 point club and only the third to do so in their first three years on campus.

Young, a forward from Hoffman Estates, Illinois, averaged 10.9 points, 10.7 rebounds and 1.6 blocks during her senior campaign en route to earning Second Team All-C-USA and C-USA All-Defensive Team honors. One of just 28 players in the nation to average a double-double, Young led the conference and ranked 14th nationally in overall rebounding, while her 15 double-doubles also led C-USA and ranked in the top 20 in the country. Defensively, Young blocked two or more shots in 13 games, including a career-high seven against UTEP. For her career, Young finished just 50 points shy of 1,000.
