NORFOLK, Va. – For the first time in over a decade, the Old Dominion men’s tennis team has cracked the Top 25 of the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Rankings.

“We are obviously thrilled to be in the Top 25,” said ODU head coach Dominik Mueller. “It was one of the goals we set for ourselves before the season, but we can’t be satisfied since there is a lot of more tennis to be played. Overall I’m just happy for our guys, because they put in a lot of hard work to get there.”

The Tennis Monarchs are currently 9-3 on the season with wins over N.C. State, Richmond, Howard, San Francisco, Harvard, Denver, Elon, Clemson and Penn.

Old Dominion will return to action this Saturday, March 4, when the Monarchs host St. John’s at 1:00 p.m. at the Folkes-Stevens Tennis Center.
