NORFOLK, Va. -- The Old Dominion women's basketball team hosts UTEP and UTSA in the final two games of the regular season this weekend. ODU takes on UTEP on Thursday at 7 p.m. on Pride Night and UTSA on Saturday at 1 p.m. on Senior Day.

Old Dominion (15-12, 10-6 C-USA) enters the weekend in a tie for fifth in the Conference USA standings with Charlotte. The Lady Monarchs will need to win the final two games in order to have an opportunity to finish in the top four in the standings and earn a first-round bye at the C-USA Tournament.

Thursday's game against UTEP (8-20, 5-11 C-USA) will be the first-ever Pride Night. The first 250 fans in attendance will receive a free rainbow headband and all non-students can use the code “PRIDE” at YNotTix.com or at the ticket office to receive a $3 discount on a game ticket. The UTEP contest will also be televised on tape-delay on beIN sports (Cox: 183/1183, Verizon: 805, DirectTv: 620), following the ODU-UTEP men's game that evening. The game will be streamed online live on beIN Sports Connect and can also be heard on STAR 1310. 

Senior Day will then be celebrated on Saturday against UTSA (13-14, 9-7 C-USA). The four-player senior class featuring Jennie Simms, Destinee Young, Annika Holopainen and Rhaven Kemp will be honored in a pre-game ceremony for their dedication to Lady Monarch basketball.

The UTSA game will be streamed on ESPN3 and WatchESPN and aired on radio on ESPN Radio 94.1

OLD DOMINION (15-12, 10-6 C-USA) NOTES

  • At 10-6, Old Dominion is tied for fifth in the C-USA standings with Charlotte
  • ODU has won 8 of its last 11 games, and 7 of its last 9 games
  • In league play, ODU leads the conference in both FG percentage (46.4%) and rebounding (+8.9)
  • Jennie Simms became the 6th Lady Monarch to join the 2,000 career point club last weekend
  • Destinee Young is one of 25 players in the country averaging a double-double
  • Annika Holopainen is averaging 10.9ppg as a starter (ODU is 7-3 when Holopainen starts)

  • At 5-11, UTEP is in 11th place in the C-USA standings
  • UTEP can clinch a spot in the C-USA tournament with a win on Thursday
  • The Miners won the C-USA regular season title last year, but are 5-11 in C-USA play this year
  • UTEP snapped six-game losing skid with wins over FIU and FAU last weekend
  • Sparkle Taylor is third in the league in scoring in league games (20.6ppg)
  • ODU leads the all-time series, 3-2

  • At 9-7, UTSA currently sits in seventh place in the C-USA standings
  • UTSA has clinched a spot in the 12-team conference tournament
  • Loryn Goodwin (17.6ppg) and Tesha Smith (15.9ppg) lead the team in scoring
  • Tesha Smith scored a school record 41 points in the Roadrunners' win at FAU
  • Tesha Smith leads the league in field goal percentage (60.0%) during C-USA paly
